Many times in our lives God calls for the end of things that we have worked very hard to build and establish. Like Abraham, He commands us to let things that are very important and close to our hearts die. The Father’s sentence of death is always intended to take us to another level, but it is connected to how we receive and respond to His sentence. This is often very difficult because we become attached to the prospering and productive areas in our lives. We must learn to see this process not as a punishment but rather as a promotion, and cooperate with God to bring about His will in our lives.
