God has ordained that our lives be filled with fruit. He’s listed the fruits in His Word, but sometimes we go after the gifts of the Spirit more than the fruit of the Spirit. God desires that we pursue the gifts of the Spirit, but He also wants us to cultivate and walk in the fruit of the Spirit. We grant the enemy entrance into our lives when we refuse to walk according to the fruit of the Spirit.

The fruit of the Spirit is divine character defined. It’s the Christ-life within us that produces the fruit of Godly character in us, and the power of God that enables us to become just like Jesus. God is actually offering us His unchanging self when He tells us to walk in the Fruit of the Spirit. We must have a made up mind that no matter what happens, no matter what it takes, “I choose to walk according to the fruit of the Spirit”.
