There are many misconceptions within the body of Christ regarding the Holy Spirit that we must endeavor to eliminate. The Holy Spirit is often not what most people have described Him to be. He is not a wind, or fire, or a feeling that we experience, even though feelings come as a result of His manifestation, but for many believers, this is how we have come to describe Him or believe Him to be. He is a divine person that lives in us. We must know Him for who He is so we don’t attribute the external things or a feeling as the Holy Spirit. Understanding who the Holy Spirit is comes from a constant lifestyle of studying God’s Word, and familiarizing ourselves with Him so we understand that even when we don’t see or feel anything He is still operating in our lives.
