The Fruit of Apostolic Houses
Embracing the Apostolic Reformation - Part V
by Dr. John Tetsola

Last month we outlined the visible signs that bring validation to an apostolic house. In addition to the visible signs which should be evident in an apostolic house, there’s fruit you must look for which is synonymous to the fruit of an apostolic house. Let’s evaluate the specific fruit that should be produced in apostolic houses which serve as a present day sign of its efficacy.

Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?
James 3:11

The first fruit of an apostolic house is that it releases streams of sweet water which bring refreshment. Jesus made a number of references that are applicable to the fruit of an apostolic house. He said that a fountain does not bring forth at the same time both bitter and sweet water. It will either bring forth sweet or bitter water, but it cannot bring forth both at once. There is a flow of life and impartation, and sweetness is released to change the lives of people.

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
Matthew 5:14

The second fruit of an apostolic house is that they become a light and a beacon of hope to their regions because of the strength and influence of their impartation. An apostolic house produces and releases light in the regions to dispel the darkness that is over the region.

Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men
Matthew 5:13

The third fruit is that an apostolic house is salt to its region and beyond. As salt, an apostolic house becomes the preserver of moral and spiritual standards by which people live and yearn for relative to the things of God. An apostolic house must produce a standard of morality, spiritual ethics, and integrity within its house, its regions, and the nation. The men, women and leaders from the house must be known as men of integrity, ethics, and high moral standards in their region. Their walk with the Lord must first be validated by their character before their gifting

And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Mark 8:34

Another analogy Jesus made which represents the fruit of an apostolic house is that an apostolic house produces cross-bearers. They are able to raise individuals who are willing to crucify their flesh and make the kinds of sacrifices that it will take to bring a city and nation to its knees.

The fifth fruit is that it releases great praise and worship. It is not just good music and a great drum beat, but it is strong praise and worship which penetrates into the heavenlies and breaks demonic holds and control over people’s lives and over the region. It is praise and worship with the power and authority to release healing into the atmosphere, to release freedom into people, to activate the gifts of the Spirit, and to destroy yokes. This kind of praise and worship are sometimes unrehearsed songs. They are dropped at a moment’s notice into the spirits of men and when it is sung, it releases potency into the atmosphere of the service. It becomes the very weapon for deliverance and healing. This kind of praise and worship ministers two ways. First, it ministers to God, and it ministers to the spirit realms of angels. Second, it ministers to people who have come to the house with needs.

The sixth fruit of an apostolic house is that it releases the spirit of prayer. An apostolic house has to be a house of prayer. They must be turning out the fruit of prayer. This house must be organizing intercessory prayer teams and prayer movements. Intercessors must be organized and trained. It is not just for the purpose of people just praying, but above all, its purpose is to release the will and favor of God upon their regions and cities.

The seventh fruit is the residency and manifestation of the gifts of the Spirit. An apostolic house manifests the gifts of the Spirit. The people are released and activated to flow in the gifts of the Spirit with freedom.

Finally, apostolic houses release and produce covenants. People of the house should be living in covenant relationships with the Lord Jesus Christ, and with one another. There must be a covenant thrust and connection with other men and houses of like passion. Because of the covenant thrust with one another, the people should be prospering and the finances of the house should be constantly increasing. The people of the house should be tithing and giving offerings. Offerings should be sent to missions and other ministries.

There are certain things you must look for which will be synonymous to the fruit of an apostolic house. The existence of these specific fruits are certain to bring credibility to that house and validate its authenticity
